In celebration of everything that makes Detroit a great place to live, work and play, the Rocket Mortgage Classic offers “Detroit Community Days” for all residents of the 313 and beyond to enjoy complimentary access to the most exciting pre-tournament events.

National Golf Invitational
Come out for the final round and enjoy complimentary admission on Sunday, June 23. Parking is located at the University of Detroit Mercy – McNichols Campus.
No ticket required for complimentary parking and admissions.

The event is named after John Shippen, Jr., who was the first American-born golf professional and also the country's first Black golf professional. The event was established to identify historical barriers to and expand upon Black representation in the sport of golf and create awareness, access and opportunities for persons of color in the business of sports.

First Tee - Greater Detroit
Youth Clinic
The First Tee – Greater Detroit Youth Golf Clinic will provide elementary and middle school-aged youth with an opportunity to learn fundamental golf skills and tips from PGA TOUR Professionals & First Tee coaches. Professional golfer and wellness advocate Morgan Hoffman will be providing some health and nutrition practices that the kids can implement within their everyday lives.

AREA 313 Celebrity Scramble
presented by Total Health Care Foundation
Featuring local and national celebrities, the AREA 313 Celebrity Scramble pits six four-player teams against each other in a three-hole exhibition match over holes 14-16 at Detroit Golf Club (AREA 313). PGA TOUR stars captain each team and are grouped with celebrity athletes and entertainers, players from THE JOHN SHIPPEN National Golf Invitational presented by Rocket Mortgage and corporate partners.
